It's Kai

Hi, it's Kai

Welcome to my little corner of the internet :)
Please enjoy your stay. if you're having a good time, let's do something together!

(and also feel free to
& tell me what's on your mind!)

Some things I've been exploring lately:

how principles and practices shape peoples lives
how important it is to simply show up
increasing the surface area for self-connection
posture and practicing the way you show up for yourself
"trying" vs "letting things unfold"
how the world needs you to come alive
honouring yourself in connnection with others
seeing the beauty in your own fear and awkwardness

Do any of these resonate with you? Let's go for a walk and talk about it :)

Sometimes, Kai writes.

found

written

so many people are living in the dark, hidden under the covers of “their own world”

many of them convinced that it is not safe to play outside,

that other people are scary, and so it is best to hide away

and while there is much joy in cultivating a secret garden, greater still is the feeling that surfaces

on the rare occasion when our secret gardens are beheld and truly appreciated by the curious eyes and caring hearts of another being;

on the rare occasion when we have truly been found, and accepted for who we are

and in that moment, when we see our own beauty reflected in the eyes of another,

we come to find a deep peace and lightness emerging within our soul,

we are able to shed the burdens we didn’t realize we were carrying,

and we are able to turn back to face the world, finally daring to show up as we really are.

so many of us live in the dark, day after day. in a state of limbo. in a state of numbness.

and knowing this breaks my heart into pieces.

i want to live in a world where the beauty in our souls can be seen by those who will understand it,

where being found is not this hopeless endeavour the way it feels today.

and until i live in a world where this is true, my calling is to build new streets and community centres, new ways to find and care for each other;

so that the roads we walk might not be such lonely ones,

so we might find our way to relationships we call home.
